Probably the biggest quality bump you can give your coffee is a great grinder. It’s hard to make a specific recommendation without knowing your setup, but it’s a fun rabbit hole to go down.

Clever brewer + Porlex grinder makes silly good drip coffee for not-crazy amounts of time & money.

How do you like the Baratza Encore? I’m thinking about buying that. I use a chemex!

Baratza Encore is good! Unless you’re trying to throw down bonkers cash in pursuit of diminishing returns, Encore is probably the way to go. (It’s the most popular choice for a reason.)

Fellow Ode is ~2x more money but won’t result in 2x better coffee. :)

I think one of the reasons that your posts/threads are so useful is that they're so visual. When you don't have that visual reference, it's feels safest to fall back to a recipe strictly as written. Anyways, thanks!

Would love your thoughts on Brightland and Graza olive oil!

I haven't tried Brightland but I like Graza a lot! The oil is really good and the squeeze bottles are super useful. I worry a bit about the plastic packaging but it's great oil!

Re: Graza's packaging -- I've heard that from a couple different people now. I hope they change that in the future. I'll have to give your recos a try!
